AI plays an increasingly significant role in education, offering a lot of benefits but also posing certain risks. Personalised learning, automated grading, learning support, and data analysis are the main advantages provided by AI. It allows the curriculum to be tailored to the individual needs of students, whereas teachers can focus on more creative aspects of teaching. Intelligent tutorials and chatbots support students in challenging tasks, while data analysis enables better understanding of their progress.

However, there are also concerns associated with the use of AI in education. Privacy concerns arise as data collection about students may pose a risk of unauthorised use. Moreover, excessive reliance on AI technologies can lead to dependency, limiting the development of critical thinking skills.
Inequalities in access to technology, the risk of errors and biases in AI systems, are further challenges that need to be addressed and managed to ensure that the use of this technology brings the greatest educational benefits.
